White oak bark is thought to act as an antiseptic and to be good for teeth. Historically it has been used for wounds, diarrhea, fever, colds and bronchitis.

It is generally recommended not to take white oak bark for more than 3 weeks consecutively.  Discontinue if it causes diarrhea.
